Overview

Coronary Analysis and Reporting System (CARS) uses artificial intelligence to provide an accurate and comprehensive evaluation of coronary arteries using a systematic approach for coronary CTA analysis.

CARS enables fast and automated coronary segmentation and labeling, which facilitates the reconstruction of arterial structures and displays in a variety of image formats.

Multiple analysis modules are integrated into this post-processing system for more efficient and accurate pathological findings.

The analysis results are delivered in a standardized template to improve reporting quality and consistency throughout and across institutions.

Features of Coronary Analysis and Reporting System

Overview

Fast and automated reconstruction of the 3D coronary vascular tree structure

Vessel segment labeling and color-coding helps doctors accurately describe the locations of pathological findings

Provides a spherical expanded view which gives doctors an overall impression of the scan

Findings

Multiple VR/MPR/cMPR techniques provide different perspectives of the 3D vascular structure

A variety of analysis modules are integrated into this post-processing workstation for more efficient and accurate pathological assessment. This includes:

  • Plaque detection and classification
  • Stenosis measurement
  • Myocardial bridge/stent detection
  • Dominance determination
  • Origin/course anomalies warning

Report

Generates standardized reports which follow the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) guidelines

Stores reports and reconstructed/processed/labeled images displaying identified pathology in PACS for later retrieval

Plaque Analysis

Automated lesion detection and segmentation allows further quantitative analysis results, including:

  • Luminal and vessel diameter
  • Stenosis degree and length
  • Plaque volume
  • Composition analysis
  • Plaque burden

Quantitative analysis results and descriptions of plaques are provided and arranged according to the major coronary branch systems. Measurement changes throughout a branch are displayed in a graph to facilitate pathological findings
