Chest X-Ray Pneumothorax Detection
Pneumothorax is one of the most acute findings in chest X-ray exams. This project detected findings suggestive of pneumothorax in just a few seconds. This algorithm could be incorporated into a computer-assisted triage medical device and integrated via RESTful API with third-party worklist applications to triage and prioritize reading of images for patients with pneumothorax.
We developed a deep learning algorithm that can automatically detect pneumothorax on chest X-ray scans. This algorithm could be incorporated into a computer-assisted triage medical device for use in workflow triage by flagging and communicating suspected positive pneumothorax findings.
