Health data interoperability standards such as FHIR are gathering momentum within the developer community. Micky Tripathi heads the HHS Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), the principal federal agency responsible for coordinating US efforts to implement standards-based health data exchange, and shared his perspectives at a community forum earlier this month.
