Radiology-Today-CT-FFR-Keya-Medical

The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) Global Meeting 2025, held in Amsterdam on February 6-7, 2025, brought together leading experts to discuss advancements in cardiovascular CT technologies. A highlight of the event was the “Industry Session: Cutting Edge CT Technologies,” chaired by Dr. Eric Williamson and Dr. Koen Nieman. This session featured presentations from several industry leaders, including HeartFlow, Circle Cardiovascular Imaging, Philips, Siemens Healthineers AG, and Keya Medical.

During this session, Dr. Irfan Shafique, MD, representing Keya Medical, delivered a compelling presentation titled “AI in CTFFR Analysis.” Dr. Shafique, a renowned radiologist with extensive expertise in cardiac imaging, focused on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in CT-derived Fractional Flow Reserve (CTFFR) analysis. He introduced DEEPVESSEL FFR, Keya Medical’s flagship AI-driven software designed to enhance non-invasive cardiac diagnostics.

DEEPVESSEL FFR utilizes deep learning technology to perform non-invasive physiological assessments of coronary arteries using coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA). The software processes CCTA images semi-automatically, generating a three-dimensional model of the coronary artery tree and estimating CTFFR values. This approach aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosing coronary artery disease, potentially reducing the need for invasive procedures.

Dr. Shafique highlighted the clinical validation of DEEPVESSEL FFR, noting its FDA clearance, CE marking, NMPA clearance, and HSA certification. He emphasized how integrating AI into CTFFR analysis can lead to more precise diagnostics, better patient outcomes, and streamlined clinical workflows. The presentation underscored Keya Medical’s commitment to advancing AI-driven solutions in the field of cardiac imaging.
